Anyone seeing any deer starting to rut, or even getting ready to start? I’m in Duval county and not seeing anything at all yet

Monday afternoon I was on my place in NW Gillespie County and saw 4 different bucks chasing 4 does. One more was with does on road corn but not sure if he was with a doe. About 7 to 10 days early here.

Oh wow. It’s weird, at my place, I had 5 bucks and a few spikes hanging around for about a month or so. All of a sudden, I haven’t seen a single one of them since Halloween day. I’ve got about 2 groups of around 10 doe that seem to never leave my property now, but the bucks just vanished. I was hoping this front today would get them moving, but only seeing a bunch of frisky does

I only get to hunt weekends, but we were seeing some fairly decent rutting activity the weekend of November 6th. Went back out last weekend, Nov. 12-13, and it was already starting to taper off a good bit in Freestone Co.

They don't seem to be real concerned in Eastern Lasalle County.

Ran across a big buck camped out with a doe last weekend at my place in Knox County, which is a little early, but not out of the given range. This weekend should be closer to our normal peak and bucks actually seem to disappear because they are holed up with a doe for a few days. It's the end of the month when it gets a bit crazy as bucks are looking for does in estrous, but most have already cycled. It's like the guys when last call is announced at the bar and they haven't hooked up yet.

I’ve been hunting pretty hard since opening day( Nov 6)… haven’t seen a single buck and I’ve only heard one gunshot . Normally I have bucks all over my property this time of year

Serious rut here (Stephens Co), Saw three totally new AR legal bucks today. One a very nice heavy classic 8. All following the does.

Last weekend my parents were at our place in Duval Co. Bucks were still friendly and hanging out. They didn’t see any chasing.

Full blown rut now in NW Gillespie County. Lot of bucks moving at all hours of the day. Bar-ditch activity is way up also.

Yes. Shot a 13 pointer hot on a doe. Saw a small buck before that on a doe. After I shot mine a smaller buck came out on same trail of doe mine was following.

Rut was on a week before opening of rifle in Robertson County. The buck I took had gore marks and scrapes from fighting. My dad and brothers spent the weekend at my place and the does were not being chased anymore. Week after thanksgiving should be round 2 if history repeats.

Here in the Comal County area, I see deer daily, and I started noticing rutting bucks late October. I took an image of a really pretty rutter Oct 30. It was chasing a couple of does down the street from me with pink yarn on his antlers....who am I to judge. Also, I'm on the road a lot patrolling, and the auto/deer crashes went up drastically late October. Most of the dead ones are bucks...sad to say. I worked an auto/deer crash last week where the lady, who normally is a passenger in her husband's F-150, was driving it that day. Shee nailed the little buck with the right front bumper, and it flew up, striking the windshield, almost going through it. It sprayed her and her dog with fine glass, but at least it didn't come through and nail her. It ended up landing in the bed. When I walked up, I saw it in the the bed, and I told her that she didn't have to collect the evidence for the crash report. She thought it was funny.

Had heavy chasing opening weekend in Coleman for me . Hunted from the 11th till the 19 th and seen all stages of rut activity had a nice 8 locked down with a doe my first sit. Most of my deer were younger bucks though .

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
