The EPA came about in part because the Ohio River caught on fire. Lake Erie had no fish. So, EPA to the rescue. And now it's another weapon to destroy America and freedom.

But unchecked some will destroy the environment for money. If allowed some would use nets to clean all the fish out of our lakes and rivers to sell to restaurants.

Hornady is a great company and should have done so years ago. Federal supplies Hornady with primers, my guess is the price is so low that it isn't worth building a production facility. You can have federal primers on the shelf or Hornady ammo, but one will decrease the supply of the other.

Hopefully, we will see Remington primers back in the market soon.

Hornady actually said a few months ago that they are increasing their production space by another 1/3, but they didn't really say much about what their plans were. Would be awesome if primer production finally made its way into their lineup.

Remington primers are actually on the market again, I saw several options at Midway within the last two weeks - didn't last long though. For the past 3 weeks or so, Midway has actually had an available supply of primers across most brands - you just have to check in the morning when they make the inventory go live to grab some. Looks like every day they choose 2-3 different primer options to make available...the only type I haven't seen is 209 (except for some 209 muzzleloader options). But it is definitely nice to see even a small supply becoming available on a regular basis.

AND you have the help problem, signs every where "now hiring" and yet people are quitting their jobs by the thousands, go figure

I see at least some degree of truth to all the opinions.
My take: If we don't agree on what good and bad are, we get nowhere.
Power always corrupts. Unchecked centralized power equals failure and suffering. (The EPA is one powerful and unchecked entity of many.)
Things work in government when decisions are decentralized and returned to the stakeholders, and good people are making those decisions, while destructive behavior is hunted and reliably extinguished.

I got a box of primers the other day in a store and days later I saw them stock another few boxes, better than the past many months. So, a little sunshine. Starting to get into reloading now.

The EPA and the Clean Air Act were a trojan horse. The EPA has been completely run by leftist since the mid-1980s and they are twisting their regulatory authority laid out in the Clean Air Act in an effort to impose socialism. The gun control act in 1968 was also a trojan horse and the NRA and other similar groups have been fighting against it since 1977. Whenever you give people in government authority that is not written into the Constitution they will take that authority and run with it in an effort to do absolutely anything they want and to impose their will on people they should have no authority over.

Everything has to come from somewhere. Mining and manufacturing aren't usually pretty but are necessary. Everyone wants what they want until its their property or their special interest that's been effected.....then someone has to be responsible! i hate gravel pits, but i bought a ton of gravel to do my new driveway. had to come from somewhere. everyone wants brass and bullets but nobody wants a mine or a lead smelting factory in their back yard. there's plenty of it that's overdone for sure. we take cracks at al gore every time we make a deposit in the outhouse.
