How large of a check can you deposit via the app? That is one thing that I do not like about Wells Fargo - low limit. If I could deposit checks without going in, I would be a happy man.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Find one that’s local and one that you can develop a relationship with. One with high turn over of employees will do nothing for you when you need them.

Honestly, they all kind of suck.

This ^^^ my wife can deposit $75,000 a month via the app and never uses it. I’m limited to $10,000 a month and use it all the time. So now I deposit through her ap. This is BofA, I hate them with a passion but they are local to us and they are everywhere, with all of our traveling, that’s the only perk. We only keep a few thousand in checking with them, everything else goes into a managed account with EJ and we can have that money out in 2 days if needed. If we need it immediately we just put it on the CC or we wait.

Can you go USAA as a fireman?

I moved everything out of Chase to USAA a few years ago.

RBFCU Has DFW locations now

Banked with RBFCU my whole life only place I do or ever had an account. Still use them but they have officially gotten too big for their britches. Still like their rates still like their cash back MasterCard but the service has gone down hill.

Agree with HWY, especially if you're self employed. Helps if they know you since self employment (if that's the case) comes with extra credit challenges.

I also think a debit card used just for cash, can be worthwhile. Sure you can use a cc, but factor in any fee's for cash withdrawal using either. I use Cap 1 Spark and Chase Ink, both have been good as far as business cc, but I bank at a smaller bank

Small town banks are useless when you are traveling over seas, I can head to Bank Of America in Manila if I have any issues while over there, try that with a small town bank.

Pretty sure his business isn't in Manila. And I can do business with my bank from anywhere that's got an internet connection.

Choose a local bank, develop a relationship with someone younger than yourself. When I purchased the firm on March 11, 1991, we started off with TX Commerce (later Chase Bank). Three years later, I left them due to decisions being made in Hosetown and with some stinking thinking going on. Went to a new start up, then named First State Bank, It later became Victoria National and then was acquired by Prosperity. Pretty much deal with the same people and although more decisions are not made locally, they still have influence because of my history and can go to bat for me, if needed.

In your area - CapTex (old FNB of Trenton) - they'll take care of you.

But in any event, use a community bank that'll get to know you.

Claiming and depositing are very different things. Not necessarily synonymous
