Saw more deer this morning than I've seen on the place I hunt in 3 years. About 12-14. I was covered up. Glad I got out of bed.

I’ve killed a lot of game in less than ideal conditions. May not be prime but you can’t kill them if you are not out there

Only 1 6 point buck for me this morning.

I'm seeing more activity this year then I probably ever have. I took a 10 pointer yesterday evening and had 8-9 other deer in my food plot. This morning I saw 3 8 pointers that were all AR Legal (14-16" bucks), 2 smaller bucks, and 4-5 doe. Deer are crawling all over the place.

When it is going to be 60 to 80 degrees during the rut doe usually bed down and so will the bucks during the middle of the day. Full moon or not. So hunt early morning and late evening. If it is cold all day then hunt all day.
We just hunted 3 days during full moon and the full rut and killed 3 deer between 153” and 164”. Two early morning and one late.

I had three deer yesterday morning all came in alone, an hour apart, with one just passing through and probably the only shooter. During the evening hunt it reach d 81° and only two came in and both at last shooting light. I’m seeing less deer this year than ever.

This morning is awfully slow. The dogs I have to hear barking all day everyday have not even made a sound.

All bets are off this year. Deer are hungry around these dry parts. No acorns so our food plots are getting hammered. I've seen as many deer during the full moon this year than I ever have. Been a great season so far.
