Octopus is excellent however I’ve yet to attempt preparing it myself . HEB has whole octopus fairly often but wife and kid wouldn’t try it if I made it. 🤦‍♂️

Living in Hawaii in the Navy I got to eat it all the time. Called Tako in Japanese or Hawaiian, tako poke is great. Lots of sesame seed oil, green onions and crackers!

Local ladies would buy every one I brought in from diving, and that paid for more air fills on my tanks.

I love it, the taste and the texture, special meal!

I really enjoy eating octopus.

I have had some that was good and some that lets just say the more you chewed it the bigger it got.

I prefer squid.

Large octopus is great. I just don't like the babies. Reminds me of spiders, ain't eating that.

I've had the baby octopus whole. It wasn't terrible but not something I'll seek out either.

Nope, but ain't much I won't try and eat, besides sweet taters and cucumbers.

Never seen big octopus anywhere but those little ones I ain't touching. Like skinner said, looks like little spiders. No crickets or grasshoppers going in my mouth either.

We were in Hawaii years ago when a huge native Hawaiian(~400+ pounds) came out of the surf with a very large octopus on a spear.

We asked to take his picture but he didn’t speak English. He thought we wanted part of his catch and he started to cut off a leg/tentacle. s

FWIW, my brother was fond of smoked octopus. 🐙 Disgusting stuff. 🤮
