Don't be an idiot, like me. If you're bringing back a little frozen backstrap, put it in your carry-on! Alaska Airlines didn't put my duffel on the plane in Seattle yesterday. frown

It's supposed to be delivered to the house in a couple of hours, but I doubt it's still cool. Vacuum sealed though. 'Glad I decided to not try to bring more back. They're processing the rest and donating it to a Native hospital in Juneau.

Did you at least get to try the meat while you were there?

She cooked some bits for one of the taco meats one night.

Duffel got here about 9:45pm last night. I had it wrapped in a Cabela's quilted heavy underwear top. It's more like a jacket and...the meat was still very cool! The wife agreed. Put it in the fridge and will marinate it here in a little bit. Goat on the barby tonight!

Very curious how it tastes. I have never been a fan of goat meat. Maybe wild Alaskan glacier fed goat is different grill

It will be fine.
Have friends come from out of state to fish and take filets home.
In seal o meal bag frozen, wrapped in clothes in luggage and still frozen when they get home.

In this case, it's akin to cannibalism.

Actually, a little better than WT backstrap, on par with axis, but different. Little black box red wine and Big C@#$ Ranch BS rub as a marinade for a few hours.

Now the smell of my gloves that I used on the trip, that helped hold and push the goat around during butchering, having dried on the back deck then put in a ziplock for 5 days. barf
In the extra heavy duty wash cycle right now.
