I heard a shot next door Saturday morning. So far, this fellow has only been seen on my cameras one day (the 11th - both morning and evening)...I hope he wasn't the reason for the shot and shows up..I hunt in Young County. I've taken a couple of 130 class 10 pointers over the years, this one is bigger.

Needs another year or two…..

Ive had a real pretty 9 point showing up at my back yard feeder. Only nice buck I had been seeing in daylight. He met AR's but was young. I was hoping he would grow in a few more years. Heard a shot close second weekend of the season and haven't seen him since, no more pictures either. RIP my little 9 pointer. He was a legal buck though, hope they enjoyed him and made use of him.

How's the hunt going?

Still having to do the work thing Will be hunting this weekend and some next week though. There was a 15-16" 8 point I watched last Saturday evening. Normally I'd probably have shot him. But not after seeing that big boy on the camera and this other one - I stayed my trigger finger, there is another decent buck antler wise but not as big in mass, spread and body and not as old - he's has much shorter brow tines.

If the fellow next door shot one of these 2, at least the other will still be around (not to mention the 8 pointer I passed on). Better he get one than some poacher. I have hunted this little 100 acres for 14 years now. Last year for the first time, someone poached a buck off the place - pisses me off still. Didn't even take the meat, just cut the head off.
