I hope you are reading Base to Ogive. Tip to base can give you erratic reading from cartridge to cartridge, Ogive can vary from bullet to bullet

Sounds like someone needs to hang up their dies and let FJG start loading for them.

You guys are right. I learned on vernier calipers where you had to add up the columns. I Carried these thoughts over to digital. I have both vernier and digital caliper and mikes and love the digitals. Just a play of word on what the column meanings. Thanks for the correction.

Once I got a Starrett American dial caliper, I haven't used then since. Even bought a second Starrett for the lathe.

You can't subtract 2 from 15? Even easier yet, 2 from 5. Buzz, go to the store and get 5 apples and call me back.

https://youtu.be/Qd583ZMYncEBuzz watch this video there are a couple tips that will keep the math simpler. Basically measure a couple cases pick an average then zero your caliper and once you size case correctly your caliper will read .002 or whatever number you are shooting for. It was a “duh” moment for me after seeing it done that way the first time.

I misread your comment. I was referring to use the Starrett dial caliper. Sounds like we are on the same page. 👍
