Right now: 357 in a GP100 and Rossi 92, 9mm Shadow Systems and Sub2000

In the past, and a great combo for reloaders: 45 Colt.

This, but I’d go Freedom Arms in .454 and a 90A rifle.

Why? Just curious

I completely disagree. .357 really wakes up in a rifle. Inside of 125 yards, it is an excellent pig and deer killer. It performs much better in the field than it does on paper.

Agree. I replaced my sights with a skinner peep.

I have a Ruger Bisely 7 1/2 in .41 magnum. It came with a fluted cylinder, not the roll marked one. A Dan Wesson stainless in .41 magnum with 4 inch and 8 inch barrels and a Marlin 1894S in .41 magnum.

I already have the FA, dies, brass, etc fro the 454.

And I can’t think of a situation in this hemisphere that a Casull wouldn’t be enough gun grin

The secret to a long life is to try not to shorten it.

Let me know if you decide to get rid of the Ruger

Ah, makes sense. I’ve already got the 460 so it’s just natural selection to stick with what I know up

How about a Beretta CX4 Storm in .40 S&W and a Beretta 96? Cheap and plentiful ammo and a little more horsepower for hunting than 9mm PCCs.

I would edit that to 100 yards which is a limited use hunting round. I cast, powder coat, and gas check my own .360 sized to .358 180 grain in magnum brass. It barely fits and cycles at 1.63X"...but it's not the first choice for hunting.

Pass the gravy.

Current pair is a S&W M&P 9 2.0 with a thumb safety and a PSA AR that takes Glock mags.
As for deer hunting, I usually can't sling a dead cat without hitting one around here so not too worried.
If SHTF, I'm sure they will become more scarce though...

Do they still make 44 autoloader carbines?

I sold one about a year ago, they can be had…pricey

It’s one of those mysteries of why don’t they give us .44 mag, .357 or 10 mm semi PCC’s

There’s a market but yet still nothing, I’ve emailed Ruger over it

Ruger gave us a 9mm and .40, which was cool but I’d pay too much for the others if they’d offer it

Thanks. I'll shoot them a email as well. Maybe if they get enough of them... up

Well, looks like I'll have to wait until the CEO Comment section is turned back on.

Ruger 77/357 and Ruger GP 100 for me.

Marlin Lever 357 and S&W Model 10 for the wife.

I’ve killed deer and coyotes with mine. My son has killed deer. My nephews have killed several deer.

All were shot from 50-125 yards with factory 125 grain ammo. Anyone that says this won’t work is just wrong. .357 mag out of a rifle is good deer medicine out to 150 yards or so. Some would say to 200, but I’d limit it to 150.
