 My 9 Year olds first deer. McLennan County.

Last week, my son shot the buck he had been watching for weeks. After hours and hours of all of us looking for it, we could not find him. The day started with excitement and ended with a pretty big heartache for my boy. We found it this morning!! We are sad that we didn’t get to harvest the meat, but are so proud of Him and he definitely got a good lesson in all the emotions and challenges of hunting! He hit the buck a little forward with a .243 at 50 yards. We found him about 40 yards away from the feeder. The buck must have circled back a few days later.
