Age on this fella. He is on my river property, about 10 acres. The deer in this area fool me sometimes compared to our family ranch when it comes to aging. this deer is closer to the hill country in Medina Co. I figure him at least 3.5 but think hes 4.5 in age. thoughts?

Yes I really dont want to shoot him. There are a lot of small private places around mine that hunt that will shoot him all day long. Ive let them go before and had one that made it by for about 6 years and got to be a 142" 9pt.

That blocky head and brisket look older than a 3 year-old. At least 4, maybe older.

Unless camera angle distorting something, that block head makes me think like Pitch. .Another angle sure would help.

I agree with this except the body shape and size does not fit a middle aged buck....I am think he may be really old and just been a smaller bodied deer his whole life. Color daylight pics would help with that part.

After last 2 pics were posted up my best guess would be 5, maybe even 6.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
