Wife and I headed to the woods this morning and saw more deer than we have seen in several years. Hard to give an exact number but about 20 between the two of us and we were setting in different stands. Bucks and does. We took 3 does for the freezer. Wish I could be back there Saturday am but leaving for an out of state hunt.

Saw way more deer than I’ve seen since I bought the property 10 years ago. I got spike and a doe. Shot the doe this morning.

Opening weekend in Young County we probably saw 3x as many deer as average in past years.

Same in Callahan County. We are taking 10-15 this year to get off the protein bill. Fawn survival was fantastic this year. Counted 11 today.
