We ate lunch yesterday at the new "1855" restaurant in Palestine on Hwy 79 a half mile inside the east side of the Loop, up the hill from the AllStar Chevy house, and on the north side of the street by the Movie House . They have a fixed price lunch menu of $15 that changes everyday. Yesterdays feature was the best hickory smoked Prime Rib steak I ever ate anywhere. It also comes with a choice of 2 sides off the menu's 6/8 choices & a salad.
The owners have a long history of great fixin's from the Elkhart Stock Yards restaurant where they are a local legend...but 1855's food & restaurant is tons better if that's possible.
I can't wait to try the next mega sized lunch.

Sounds good, I got a buy one lunch get one free coupon in the mail from there this week. Me and the wife will have to go try it out.
