Had this one jump into about a 20 acre trap that I have some Ibex in. I guess he figured his chances for survival were better in a Deer proof HF environment than in the LF world he came from [Linked Image]
. Smart choice if he decides to stay.

Must not be a so called pen if deer can jump in and jump out.

Yeah, the deer would jump in and eat with the rams then leave, or something like that. grin

Male Ibex are Billies. Sheep males are Rams.

Bandera-Helotes. They are all the same. If its Brown it's down.

I grew up hunting near Bandera, and brown it's down was true even back then!
That buck would have been considered a MONSTER!

It is his choice. I had a spike jump in the same place last year. Now he is a 7 point.

Pretty much.
We had shot some decent 120ish deer near Pipe Creek. The deer are lucky to make it past being a nubbing buck there.

This one was the spike last year. We shall see what happens next year if he stays.
