What is a dependable and affordable wireless trail cam?

I purchased a Stealth Cam for $189 that was to work via LAN or Bluetooth. The only pictures i have ever gotten were pics of me always checking to see if it was on. I have 8-15 deer at the feeder every morning and night and never a single pic.

I found a Facebook group for Stealth and this apparently is a major issue with their camera.

So what AT&T capable cameras are you guys using that are very reliable?

Me and a buddy just bought 5 more Tactacam. They seem to be the best going in a budget friendly price point. Spartan and Covert are the top of line but you pay top of the line as well.

Which Reveal model is that one? The X, XB or SK?

First year of production. I thought they only had one at the time.

I’m running four of the Stealth Cam Fusion. They have numerous minor problems but generally work acceptability. I can’t really recommend them, but they’re adequate for the time being. In any event, they’re much better than not having cell cameras.

I have five covert Blackhawks and three spy point micros. The coverts are at my feeders and the spy points are used more for security - one at the gate, cabin, etc. The coverts are definitely better but they cost twice as much. They all seem to work fine.

I've about come to the conclusion they all suck...get the cheapest so you won't be as pissed when they lay down on you...because they all will eventually lay down on you.

I've run RidgeTec, Moultrie, Synper and this year Reveal X...matter of fact, one of my reveals is down right now. I like having them but they are an aggravation that I wonder if are truly worth it. Once I know what I've got in the area to compile my hit list, I pay minimal attention to them.

Covert cameras cost a little more but work great. I run the code black. I tried other cameras trying to save money big mistake.

Same here. Run 5 coverts and have for 5 years. Love them and customer support is great.

I've switched to Tactacam. Running 2 Gen 1 Reveal, 3 Gen 2 Reveal X and will add the newest just released model with built in solar that detaches with long cord. They are cheap enough and work well as regular TC if not wanting to use the cellular send signal.

I use Reconyx. No issues thus far. High Res pics cost 10x as low res. So pics come in as low and if you want more detail you check a box and it downloads the high res. Sensitively, is great but there is no way to adjust the zone width or height. 1 in ten pics is just outside the view.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea

I have Stealth Cam Fusion and Reactor and can tell you their customer service is non-existent. There is a phone number for technical support in the owners manual and they DO NOT answer it---EVER! I have called 3-4 times over several weeks and waited 45 minutes each call. They are located in Irving and I live in DFW area, I feel like putting a sign on the front door of their office that says "Answer the MF phone!!"

My cameras work most of the time, but my buddy uses Tactacam and I think his cameras are better

If you can find Tactacam Reveal, Buy It (at the time I purchased wireless cameras I could not find Tactacam and settled for Stealth Cam)

I had the same problem with Stealth Cam fusion, nobody answers the phone. This camera takes pictures all the time and nothing there and it doesn't take pictures of every animal. It's set to take a picture every 1 minute. Would never buy these cameras again.

Just like everything you get what you pay for. So cheap and best don’t usually go together. I run covert wireless cameras and have for 5-6 years. Love them and their customer service is top notch. More expensive option but they are worth it and they can usually be found on sale for a little under $300. With that being said cell cameras are essentially an outdoor cell phone that is left in the sun, wind and rain all year so any camera is subject to problems at one point or another.
