I am always dumbfounded how people pull there phone out to video everything that pops up. Especially if its a life changing event for themself or whoever is being videoed.

A thought I often have is that kids today are going to have videos of their whole life when they are old folks. The idea of having tons of videos of me as a young person seems strange as heck to me.
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Take lots of pictures with my phone. Occasionally take videos and send them, like the kids singing happy birthday to my folks or their cousins or good morning to mom when she has to be at work early and doesnt get to see them. Videoed my son doing mutton busting on it, video of deer sometimes. Most of it stays on the phone till I purge my photo/movies and then only keep the stuff that means something.
It's hell eatin em live

A picture is worth a thousand words. How long would it take you to type that versus sending a pic or video?

People are missing out on life - concentrating on taking videos rather than enjoying the moment.
If you can't laugh at yourself, give me a call. I'll gladly laugh at you. "I keep trying to see Nancy Pelosi's and Chuck Schumer's point of view, but I can't seem to get my head that far up my [censored]." Senator John Kennedy, Louisiana

I take videos at work often. Nothing coveys the message to upper management like a video of everything going sideways.
Plus working with machinery the slo-mo mode has helped diagnose many problems.

I tend to take a pic of something I think is ridiculous to show friends or family. I walk on the school track a lot of evenings. Last week there were two women on the track wearing masks. They weren't together, as in "protecting" each other. They were on opposite sides of the track.
First off I think masks are ridiculous. Next, wearing a mask outdoors in the breeze.......beyond nuts!!!

My wife has terrible allergies and it's cotton season in Lubbock, as well as big wind/dirt storms lately. She walked our dogs for ten minutes the other evening and spent the next 30 hours with runny nose/watery eyes. Could be those women are avoiding allergies.

However, these two fit another observation of mine, that if mentioned would get me sent to time out. And our air quality was good last week.

Yeah, I have worn a mask when mowing for over 20 years due to my allergies...I have been living back at the lake for the last 5 weeks and most of the neighbors that were living here when I lived here full time have died or moved...so I'm sure the new neighbors might think I'm nuts. I guess I kinda am, as I bought a house surrounded by Ashe Juniper trees....not realizing Ashe Juniper is the proper name for Mountain Cedar (which I am highly allergic to).
