So took my son down yesterday to let him bow hunt and try to put some Whitetail meat in the freezer. Unfortunately, he had no luck but someone else did! We hunt down near Sheffield right off I-10. Driving through the ranch we head to the back to check my dad's feeder and make sure its running good. My son gets out to open a gate and I glance to my right. 400yds away I see approx. a dozen reddish tan bodies running down the side of a mountain into a draw. Realizing quickly what they were I holler at my boy to get in and haul [censored] towards the Aoudad. We pull up on a hill and find the Aoudad, 350yds away going up another mountain. I quickly pull out the 6.5 Creedmoor and find the only ram in the group. Three shots later his body is tumbling down and my son and I are whooping in excitement!

In 11 years hunting the ranch we've only ever seen one other Aoudad. As we walked upon the beautiful animal we both could hardly believe the size! Never did I ever think we would let alone see another Aoudad but get the chance to take a gorgeous animal. Definitely a check off my bucket list! Measured him at 28" and couldn't be happier!
