Opening morning, you're going to get up early, walk to the stand in the dark, trying to be quiet. You'll also find a snake in your blind. You know you will. You won't see it at first.

And I will burn the blind plus the 500 acres around it to the ground.

Shame on those who don’t “relocate” any snakes they happen across.

All ranch king blinds, won't be a snake in mine. My issue is picking where I want to hunt, 5 blinds and I'll be all alone on the ranch. My hunting partner can't make it till second weekend.

Check cameras Thursday or Friday that will determine where to sit.
Good Luck

Last year, opening morning I am in my elevated blind before daylight, it was pretty cool and I had found a window open and didn't think much about it. As the sun starts to peek up over the trees and the stand starts to warm up I am anxiously looking for a big 11 I had seen a few weeks prior....Then it happened...The roof started to buzz, the warmer it got the louder it got, and I realized I was sharing my only stand with a bunch of wasps...I bust out loudly and the hunts ruined.

Never had a snake, but I have had wasps. Makes for a very interesting hunt.

If I'm not hunting something I must be dead.

Ours aren't ranch king but custom made. No snakes, mice or other vermin. I'm spoiled that way.
