I saw so many bucks peeing on themselves this weekend, and so many doe stopping and squatting. Next weekend gonna he a really good weekend to be in the stand. Was fun this weekend. Next weekend will see a whole new level of testosterone, might make it tough to hunt as the bucks will chase anything with a white tail, but if the doe arent ready they just run away.

Hunted Saturday morning, and bucks were checking does. Later in the morning, they were running them pretty hard. Saw a buck run over on the highway 2 days ago, they are getting stupid.

We dont see many road kill deer around the house, there are some, but typically the amount of road kill jumps up dramatically a few weeks after fawns hit the ground and get moving around and during the rut. Two weeks ago I drove the strip of hwy to my inlaws and saw no road kill, this past week i saw 2 during the week and 3 more saturday. Also the trail cams show bucks coming in checking and new deer showing up. If the rut isnt going its close for my area.
