Somebody, a few days back, was asking where to eat at a fancy place in Waco. The 135 Steak House was suggested. I had not been there, but it was the Wife’s Birthday, so I set us up for this evening. It’s a real nice place and the food was excellent. I don’t think I’ve had that good a restaurant steak since we left Houston, though I had an equally good meal at 3 Forks in Dallas a few years ago. I don’t rank it with Pappas or Vic and Anthony’s, but certainly as good as Flemings or Perry’s.

So, crab cakes for an appetizer - excellent
Side salads - Caesar for me and a house salad for her - both excellent
She had a Filet with Béarnaise sauce and crab. I had an 8 ounce Filet.
Sides were asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes - really good.
Some giant multilayer chocolate thing for dessert. Wonderful.
And we had a little wine.

$215.47 plus tip. Service was better than good, but not great. The price was fair for the meal we had.

Thanks to whoever suggested that place. We will go back. I’m happy we have a real good steak house within reasonable driving distance.

You’re not really selling if it’s only as good as Perry’s or Flemings. Glad y’all had a nice meal
