Thinking of using a turkey blind (canvas and stakes) for setting up under trees as I am still hunting for deer. Any advice using this technique? Successful materials?

From experience pulling up brush and sitting behind a pile, your intended method will work.

Just be careful, canvas can have a very chemically scent to it. I would let it sit outside for a but unfolded before using it the first time. Deer will pick up on that scent pretty quick if its present.

Thx for the replies. I typically air-out all new things that I intend to take in but its always a good reminder. May use some burlap.
