WTH? Optical illusion or world’s largest Monarch?

eeks333 cool pic.

I think its an optical illusion — the monarch is closer to the camera. If it was on the feeder there’d be a shadow below it like the solar panel.

Mothra. I have always loved them, until they start eating my tomatoes.

Yes, the camera just happened to catch it in flight between the feeder and camera (forced perspective).

OR....its a Boone & Crockett 'Monarch', take your pick.

Very interesting. I thought the same thing but its hard for me to picture it being close like it would have to be. Need to keep this one in mind on the age and score threads-pics can be very deceiving.
I just looked up "forced perception". I didnt realize there was a term for what bass fishermen do when they push the fish out in front of them and closer to the camera. Guys do it with dead deer pics too and I hate it.

You gotta lead them a bit more than usual and they can only be killed by a 6.5 Grendel roflmao

If it’s not forced perspective and really is a booner you should get a full shoulder mount.

Love that similar quote from Jaws. One of the best quotes/scenes ever.
