So the Caddy was attacked by 2 adult pit bulls trying to get a kitten, destroyed both front fenders, hood, front grill and both passenger and driver side doors have paint damage. A smaller pup had it's head stuck up in the engine compartment and was still there until the Deputy and I removed it about 5 minutes ago. I know who the dogs belong to and my wife seen them tearing up the Caddy and run them off before I could get out side.

Goodness, they must really like cats.
We had two labs do something similar to a Town Car many years ago, trying to get to a cat. They also ripped out a lot of wires.
We were babysitting a pit bull once and it wanted a cat so bad that it started chewing the tree down.

That sucks.

File the claim, insurance will go after them if they are at fault.

It's not like you bought a VW. What will the devil dogs be after the next time? This is not an action worthy of patience or tolerance, but swift action. Think about if one of your loved ones was holding a cat.

If that would have happened in San Saba, the action would have been swift and terminal. They have a city ordinance banning those dogs.

The owner should be responsible for putting the dogs down after being spoken to by LEO. In my way of thinking that is what good people would do. Insurance will help to mute the dollar cost, but nothing for the protection of yourself and the ones you love. Good people also protect their family at all costs.

Every problem I've has with livestock has been from dogs. Weather it be chickens, rabbits, cattle, hogs, etc. Not many strays out here but when they show up they are dealt with.
File police report and turn over to insurance company let them deal with it.
