I have 3 pair I wear during season and every year about this time I mink oil them up. Good boots are expensive so I do what I can to make them last. How do you condition your boots?

Sno Proof. The smell reminds me of my dad getting ready for hunting season.

Mink and neatsfoot to me is hard on stitching, some MFG won’t warranty as they say it makes glue on the rands peel. If it’s a rand-less boot image it doesn’t matter

I use either crispi, hanwag wax’s product or Grangers paste.

My rubber boots get sprayed with this before and at least once during the season, and then a final time when I clean and store them at the end of the season. IMO, it makes all the difference in how many seasons I get from them. Although it may be nothing more than Armor-All, I have found it makes a difference.

You can find it a little cheaper at the usual online sources.

Not only good for leather but use in place of lard for baking and the results are amazing. Now that is only bear fat that i render myself. Not sure if store bought would work for baking - probably has other additives in it.

I need to get back to my Aunt's place in Tennessee and shoot another bear. I have been out of bear oil for a while, and i got several pairs of boots and a couple of saddles that could use it

I came up empty handed on my bear tag this year. I was really looking forward to chicken fried elk cooked in bear fat
