My wife and I were visiting the Fredericksburg/Johnson City area a couple weeks ago. Some friends of ours live in a nice gated acreage community called "Brushy Top" which was previously a private 2,000 acre high fenced ranch. There is a resident herd of Elk on the property. October is the rut, and I spent several mornings snapping pics. Here are a few of the highlights, I hope you guys enjoy.

Most of these were taken with my Nikon D500 + Nikon 500mm f/4G, but some of the wider "environmental" shots were taken with my Nikon D7500 + 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G

Great pictures, I would love to sit out there and listen to the bulls sound off. We had a few that got loose from a high fence place where I hunt. I never saw them, just the trail cam pictures of a fellow hunter.
