Just got it from FedEx. Screwed in a small propane can and lit it up. Assuming this is the same quality as the Coleman units, it should do fine. The Coleman had a catalytic head 5 1/2” in diameter and one heat setting. The Martin has an 8” catalytic head and two heat settings. I like the option of two heat settings. The Martin has a push button igniter like some of the Coleman units had, but I’ll make sure there a fire lighter in the blind, just in case. Those igniters weren’t very reliable.
For sandwich heating the Coleman sat upright and probably was better for food heating. The Martin sits at an angle, on legs, but if you have a Coleman base plate for the propane can, it should sit upright also.
Made in China, unfortunately.
