Anyone watching this? Looks like everyone has survived so far.

Nearly two dozen people escaped serious injury when a large jet crashed while attempting to take off from Houston Executive Airport Tuesday.

According to KPRC-TV in Houston, the FAA said an MD-87 destined for Boston departed at about 10:08 a.m. and had trouble gaining altitude.

The plane rolled through an airport fence before crossing Morton Road north of the airport and coming to rest in a field where it caught fire.

I bet quite a few of them had to change underwear!
Praises for the pilot, could have been a disaster.

Are we still congratulating the pilot if it was deemed pilot error?

That's why I always recommend waiting for the NTSB official report.

It is something the NTSB will investigate.

Had to crash into something to make it burn to the ground like it did.

When I went to NYC and saw the Hudson River. I wasn’t impressed with landing a plane in it. It’s huge and straight.

Seriously? How often do non float planes successfully land on water and everybody survives?

And he was a glider, he had no engine power. Pretty remarkable.

A glider is designed to float and procure minimal lift with out power. A320 is a gaint pencil with engines. Without engines it a paper weight.

The beauty of what he did isn't seen by the casual observation. It's when you realize he beat all the computer simulation that called for massive casualties. He beat math.

Nut shell you would of killed everyone

Could have been wrong T/O settings given to the pilots, on a shot runway

It could be a lot of things like even the wrong flap settings, loss of power, wrong speed from avionics, controls not responding right, control failure, weight and balance, etc etc.
