If you are looking for some awesome slab wood pieces you need to this place out. BlackHawk Millworks, 2780 Dreibrodt Rd, San Marcos, TX. They have all kinds of wood and more walnut that I have ever seen in one spot. Very friendly folks and prices are good. Check out their reviews. My first time there today but I will be going back.

There’s also a place in Fentress on Hwy 80. Mostly pecan wood I believe.

You are correct but this place has more and a better selection of different woods. I prefer walnut because of the darker texture and this is the only place I have found that has a bunch of it to pick through.

Thanks spacejunkie
I will indeed check out BlackHawk Millworks. I have been milling my own wood for years. I am always interested in what others have and their operation.
