Got to admit…I almost managed to drop my boat on the ramp some years ago. If I had, and there were people around, I’d have had to try ritual Japanese suicide, with a borrowed knife.

Years ago I took a couple Freihight dx of a friend water skiing at canyon lake. When we were done one of the invites said he could back a trailer down the ramp, so I gave him the keys to p/u and said get after it. Dropped him at the dock and went and made a circle in the cove. When I got turned around I saw my truck backing down the ramp, with my trailer in a full jack knife.  Needless to say, the boat trailer required $100 of welding when we got back to town.

Have seen that and worse at the ramp. Watched a couple (guy/gal) drop a really nice fiberglass boat on the ramp once. She was driving, and he was yelling…
