AR is helping in my area, before AR was lucky to see 2 bucks a year in this area and 1 would usually be a spike. Last 5 years usually see at least 10 different bucks, most barely legal 13" to 14" with an old 17" on the downhill taken last year. Rarely see any big racks around here. Got this pic today.....

Any guesses on age? I saw this one and a similar 12 point the last week of last season. Ended up shooting a twin to the one in the night pic, they are so close I had to double check the date stamp.. It is near Halloween and that is at the same feeder....could be a ghost!

Thanks! Decisions to make now, low fence 174 acres with non hunted 174 acres on 1 side, about 225 acres on 2 sides with 2 management minded hunters and the side across a small county road with some lease hunters...not sure he would make it to 5 but I bet he would be awesome if he did!

You will never know if he will make it another year unless you try.....

That's a 4 yr. old. You'll likely see him regularly the next two weeks, after that good luck. Make a good Bow-Buck. Upper 120's for sure, maybe a bit better.

Late season (muzzleloader) in January is another time I see some of my better bucks on my property. But the last two weeks of October always produces the most sightings and most relaxed deer of the season. Of course the 'rut' can bring out a buck you might never have seen before but they are moving a lot and you might never see that one again.

50 years of Bowhunting has taught me that if you see something you like this time of year, move on it, because things about to change drastically in the next 2-3 weeks. Hunting pressure will have an effect too.

It would be different if you were hunting thousands of acres and could move a mile or two to another area. At worst....if you set up a Bow Stand and get to see him (in the flesh) you'll quickly know if he is a shooter (for you) or not. Sometimes they are not as impressive (in real life) as they appear in photos. But anytime spent hunting/scouting is to your benefit.

First time on cam at night and on other side of property. Still running with the smaller buck...

I continue to be amazed at the bucks showing up this year, haven't seen many of the barely legal thin racks that were 90% of what we normally see. AR's and year round protein seems to be working!
