Had a wonderful time at John's place today. Should've had more birds but those kamikazes were flying mach speed. had a blast shooing at them and made one of the longest shots of my entire 65 years. I'm a firm believer that you can't kill 'em if you don't shoot. So it was a blast as always when I go out there. Not as many birds as some years but still enough to have a blast! Needed more people in the field to keep them flying in my opinion.

Buster was happy when the birds started flying. He got his mouth on some birds and found a lost bird for Dave!

John will shoot ya straight so call him and get in on the October action while you can. When those northern birds all get here they will stay. Plenty of food in John's fields!

Enjoyed having having you and Chris. And I believe that was the longest shot I've ever witnessed. Buster did his job.

It wasn’t muddy out there? I didn’t hunt this weekend, where I hunt Rancher said fields too muddy to drive on. I had work to do at home anyways.

He was a little rusty and did not mind at all. I had left the "hearing aid" at home. Rarely need it with him.

Very few puddles. Barely got mud on my tires at the gate leaving. In the high 70's I think with a cool light breeze. Couldn't have been any better weather.

Cool front coming in next Wednesday, suppose to be in the 70's next weekend. It has the potential to be good, should have some northern birds on it.

Stompy you have beautiful property and do everything first class, its why I like to hunt there. Hope to make it out there this season.

I probably want to go on a weekday when the barneys are not out there. roflmao

Not much season left, 5 different fields with only 20-25 hunters the last couple of weekends, lots of room to spread out. My last Dove hunt weekend is October 22nd. I mowed more strips in some of the fields yesterday, and will mow more next week. Just in time for the northern push of birds.

Thanks for the compliment Guy.

Going to do a few season leases (12 to 15) hunts next year in my big 117 acre field. It's a huge field and I don't utilize it enough.
