Are you guys still seeing bachelor groups or have they all split up where you are? Still getting groups on my cams and seems a bit later in the year than usual.
Saw three 3-4 year old bucks together yesterday by the golf course. Have been seeing some bigger boys roaming by themselves in the very early mornings.
Still together on our place (San Angelo). Multiple mature (5.5+) bucks grouped up but I suspect that will change in the next 7-10 days. At this point, just wondering what bucks I will never see again, as is the case this time of year, every year.
Old guys have split up and been off camera for a couple weeks. 2-4 year olds still together most of the time. 1yr old pics have increased like they always do this time of year for us
still together at my lease in (mills county) small buck sparring a little bit. not seeing any big bucks yet. i figure they will be moving in a couple weeks.
Left 29 Sept to go to Brady for the TMLRA Blanket Shoot. Did not see one dead deer on the side of the road. Came back home on Sunday and noticed several dead bucks on the side on the road and only one doe.
Wondered why, what caused the difference? Bow season opened Saturday.

I am still seeing some of the bucks running together and some are now separated from the summer groups. Lot of bucks sparring and many of the bucks that were in the summer groups now can not stand the sight of each other. Over the weekend in 3 hunts I saw at least 6 outright fights and one buck got into two fights in less than 5 minutes. He won one and lost the other. Lot of sparring over the weekend. Starting to see a few broken points over the past 2 weeks. There were a lot of new rubs after the recent rains and many new scrapes. Cooler night and morning temps have them ready for November. With all the buck activity around the feeders, the does are now not showing up as often.
Our 3.5yr old and older bucks are breaking off from their bachelor groups, and even have a few pics of them sparring with one another. Patterns are becoming less predictable over the last couple of weeks as well. Also seeing bucks being more curious about the doe, and the doe acting more weary of bucks in general as a result.
It's about to happen!
