I bet I have somewhere near or over a thousand photos since 9/1. Two photos of this guy one minute apart. There are some good things about this. One is the opportunity to see this guy on the hoof. This in the far corner of my pasture with the nearest other hunter's feed pen being's being 1.02 miles away.

He wouldn't get a second look from me from anything except the crosshairs in my scope.

What a great deer

Hope you put him down and on your wall

A mile is nothing for a buck to travel. Especially once the rut starts.

Yep, but it's better than five stands within 1,000 yards.

He died of old age before you could get anymore pics. That buck is ancient.

I only have the two photos of him, but I get the same feeling about him being ancient. This time Bobo may well be correct as something has gone on with that left eye. .

Well what's wrong with that Hud?
There are some places that put 5 stands on a 20 acre ranchette! Fixin' to get some new batteries for my drone and see how many of my new 'ranch owners' next door have 2 blinds and feeders on their 11 acres. smdh

just saying I appreciate our set up. My first lease was in thick, 1,400 acre coastal pasture between Bee County and Refugio bordering the Medio Creek. Seven hunters and 18 stands. Had a blast down there.

When you got a good one coming in, its nice to have neighbors(especially good ones) that are few and far between.

I think that's just his cottonseed ring you see. They have big pens, maintained I think. Not everyone puts chicken wire, covered sheds, etc. around their feeders. bolt

Great looking old warrior. Sic 'em Hud!
