I thought this was pretty cool. Made it for my granddaughter. Lid: quilted Big Leaf maple from Washington state, box body: Tiger stripe (curly) maple from Pennsylvania, All dark wood is walnut from West Virginia, Splines are 1/4" walnut dowels hand made, Interior flocking; Jade Green. Watch the video to the end for the secret!

Dang WildThings! That is some fantastic woodworking. I like the hidden compartment, excellent feature.

a couple of months ago, our oldest grandson wanted to go tent camping for his birthday, early May, on daughter/SIL small ranch near Brenham. I was thinking heat, humidity and mosquitoes, so I did a little research on Youtube, grabbed an old ice chest, ordered a "quiet" boat bilge blower, some stainless clothes dryer flex hose, a tube of silicone, a few hose clamps, PVC fittings and a toggle switch. Jig saw & sawzall and a little time ... works pretty dang good. I found the flex hose is not water tight, so I now just place a large trash bag down into the ice chest, so the ice can surround the dryer hose. Runs about 6 hours on a 12vdc deer feeder battery. blows very cool air if you are directly in front of the adjustable outlet. I used it in the cab of my truck about a week ago for an overnight while out at my Ozona place. I actually had to turn it off a couple of times during the night as it got pretty chilly in the cab. I think this will be amazing in a early season deer blind along with a thermocell. lesson learned: use a smooth sided ice chest, the small step in the one I used was a bear to seal where the hose came thru. Use some other type of hose that is water resistant (but the trash bag works well in this case).

I built a center consol for my suburban this weekend. I thought it turned out pretty good considering how bad I suck at wood work

I built my bed frame and headboard when I was 12.
I put together some pretty good telecom test equipment when I had my company.
I am a piker compared to the stuff you guys built.

I'm not sure....I've built some pretty impressive/large control panels for O&G/Petro Chem companies, used to really enjoy that.

Probably the coolest was posted in a thread called dual pond project. I’m about to take on my own personal dirt work project on 22 acres. It should be interesting to see how many times I change my mind.

Dang HWY MAN! I recall that did some knapping. Those are as nice as anything that I have ever found. I really need to learn how to do that.

I've seen a few frustrated anthropologists fumble around with this. If you're ever in a 757 and both pilots are incapacitated, go ahead and land that thing, you've got the touch.

This was good for me at least: First bass finishing attempt from a generic kit with a few upgrades. Was proud to get the color and fade like I imagined it by painting the stain layers, since I had no airbrush. Now just need to learn bass, though it really plays nice considering it was me that finished and assembled and did the setup....
