From my early years as a great fisherman. Straw hat and Cub Scout belt buckle, and a good string of Bream. I used to walk down to the old guy that raised worms, and buy a quarter’s worth. I’d walk across the Mississippi River levee and fish in the Bar (borrow) pits, among a group of old black women. I guess I was their pet, sort of. About 1955 I suppose.
