Haven't heard of any of them 'cept Ted. My dad once had to tell John Conally that he was on the wrong side of the fence.

I seem to recall a similar list from a few years ago. I think there are a few TV sports personalities missing from it.

This is a shame, guys and gals who should be role models breaking game laws and I am sure much more just to kill a trophy that they can brag on. Maybe it's a good thing that I only want to hunt predators for the TV show...
Adios,

What ever happened to the 'bowhunting legend' Chuck Adams? I recall some stories of him poaching (maybe off of Yellowstone NP?), but don't see anything coming up in Google.

It sure is a shame.....damn sad really.

Another thing is some of these celebs think that they should be coddled and given stuff free. I know my cousin who is a taxidermist has run into this with one or two of them. smdh

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

While I agree with a lot of Ted Nugents views he is definitely not a role model and I could tell 3 stories on him that are worse IMO than the one in the article although not Illegal

Man I forgot all about Chuck Adams - he was the man back in the day - I never heard of him doing anything illegal but maybe he did

He still is the man. I think he's completed two super slams by now. Haven't heard of him doing anything illegal either.

Looks like Adams and Craig Boddington got into way back in the day and Boddington started the rumors (reportedly). This was quite a while back and my recollection is foggy at best versus what it was as a bowhunting novice back then. Maybe it is one of those when you're on top, everyone else is trying to tear you down kinda things.

And they are REALLY good at telling some outfitter, "If you will just give me a big buck, you will never have to worry about booking all your hunts again"...

The rumor is chuck Adams killed some of those monster animals inside of national parks. Again just a rumor.

Guy is a great bow hunter in any case even if he did snuff them inside Yellowstone

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

If memory serves me right (sometimes it does), Chuck Adams and Fred Bear are the only hunters to have taken every big game animal in North America with a bow and arrow.

Chuck Adams did not do that. He is as clean as Fred Bear. It was Don Lewis that had been taking trophy animals in national parks for 9 years before being caught with the Yellowstone one. He had boasted he was going to surpass Chuck Adams total number of record book animals. What sucks is Lewis talked about his goal of beating Adams's records so often that now it is the name people incorrectly associate with the Yellowstone poaching.

Some of y’all don’t view these the same as me

Uncle Ted hunting over bait in California is about like running a stop sign to me

Big deal…

Or what if your hunting on private land in Oklahoma, sitting in a blind and not wearing hunter orange…big fricken deal🥴

If your hunting and forgot to sign the back of your license…poaching?😏. That like not signaling your turn..

I followed Chuck Adams for years in the various hunting magazines - he never struck me as a guy who would cheat -

I totally disagree - hunting over bait is not "oops I forgot" like not remembering to sign my license or put on my orange - there are degrees of violations and Ted KNOWINGINGLY did what he did
