I have called them way back in the 80's. The whole herd will come running in when they hear the call. I have eaten many javelina back in the 80's when I killed them on a lease in South Texas.

We were calling for bobcat one early morning when javelina came in. It taste good to me. I don't see them as much anymore since the big cats started moving in.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
