Perfect weather to get in a little training.
I know I’m biased, but I just love her style.
I just used pigeons today, she has more intensity on quail.

Indeed!

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

Thanks guys.
She has a novice trainer (me) as a owner. Inspire of that, she’s coming along nicely in the field.

I'm envious. The more I bird hunt the less i think of deer hunting. I don't know why but I love it and I love seeing dogs pointing and retrieving.

It’s addictive.
I love watching a good dog work a field.
It does not even need to be my dog.

Top photo is on pen raised quail. The second is on wild bobwhite quail. Both are old photos.

Mine definitely know the difference between training, and hunting.
I enjoyed the times we met at the NSTRA trials.
I’ve been thinking about joining them again.

She’s not mine, but I get to take her out in the field. She’s a 20lb pocket rocket.

Muensterlander?

Small Munsterlander....Robingun's Eagle Eye Captain Flint, call name "Flint". Approved stud dog in the Small Munsterlander Club of America.

NAVHDA: NA Prize 1 (max 112) at 10 months. Bypassed UPT. UT Prize 2 at 24 months. Senior NAVHDA judge told me he was a Prize 1/possible Invitational dog but that I was a "NA Prize 3 handler"!! First time ever I handled in the finished gun dog test and I made mistakes that cost him points. I trained him to support me in the field based on some physical limitations I have related to military service, and those things did not mesh with the NAVHDA test "standard".

He's 6 years old now. Decided not to re-test to see if we could qualify for the Invitational because we're more interested in chasing birds and trailing fur, than chasing points and prizes. Flint loves to travel...he's been from the Atlantic to the Pacific, and from the Gulf to Canada with me as we hunt and fly fish. He truly loves the latter, as well, and is content to tag along with me while wading a river or riding in a drift boat. He's a dynamo outdoors and an absolute gentleman in the house, where he can usually be found curled up at my feet. He's the best ever that's "owned" me........
