This is an absolute long shot in the dark, but I just got told that i have to drive to a dealership in South Texas to pick up a Massey Ferguson and bring back to Louisiana. I figured I’d see if anyone had any nice axis bucks and could get me a hunt or 2 in? I’ve never killed an axis, but have always wanted to. Again this is an absolute shot in the dark so I do t expect much, but worth a shot.

You should be able to book a hunt and any of several high fenced operations.

Nice axis are real hard to come by in the hill country now because the freeze killed about half of them and the ones it didn't kill that were in velvet (most of the survivors) had frostbitten antlers. I'll check in the morning to see if the one I have at my house place (low fence near Kerrville) is still coming to feed. He's a stud over 30" and great brows and caudles. But I won't let him go cheap.
