Had a chance to finally get down to the deer camp. I was able to replace one of my ground blinds with a 14’ ladder stand. It says 18’ but I left a section off. 14’ was plenty for me. Even at that height I thought there was a woodpecker up there with me. I looked down and it was my knees knocking together eeks333 I got my feeder filled and decided to not put out a camera and see what comes out bow opener. I did add camo netting around the shooting rail and also zip tied a few limbs I trimmed out of the way to the stand. The last pic is a panoramic view I took from the stand of the whole area I’m hunting. Feeder is at 22 yards.

Great looking setup!

Now show us a big buck down pics!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

cheers Nothing is more gratifying than to scout, setup and then hunt a new spot/setup. Brings a whole new level of excitement and anticipation to opening day of the season.

I like your new setup & need to do the same thing. On a new place this year & getting a late start.
Looks like someone mowed under all your trees too. Should making walking in easy & quiet opening morning.

14' up @ 22 yds, make sure you take a few practice shots to see how high you hit vs your ground blind you had.

That’s my plan. I’m going to stand on the house and shoot at my block just to make sure. I was going to after I set the stand up, but ran out of time trying to get everything right.

Good looking set up. I believe 14' is plenty high. Good luck and God bless.
