I'd kill to be back at 250. I squandered the 80lb weight loss from cancer treatment. My damn knee hurts worse than before the surgery(s). Man, I know guys like us food/sugar is CRACK !!!

You to Jimbo1. My weight is kinda stuck on 250. I'm on protein bars and shakes with a low fat meal. 6oz protein.
She told me not to exercise yet because of my low calorie intake.
I think I've lost the easy weight, now comes the hard stuff re; love handles, man-boobs, leg fat, assphatt
I'm into it now, ready to get it done then go on vacation Man cans , has a better ring to it

started in the gym today light weights, leg stretches, ordered my protein bars and shakes to get me through, a raised toilet seat, borrowed a walker, cane and one of those icing machines. Sept 20 is looming closely

Well mine (scheduled for same day as Buzz) just got cancelled again due to hospital capacity here in Weatherford. Been trying to get this done for a year and a half - it sux.

Man that does suk. My surgeon is doing me in a surgery center. We will be the only ones there. Less germs. Operation takes about an hour, I will be kept 4-5 hours in recovery, waking up, think I gotta pee before I can go home. I will go home same day. PT person will be at my girlfriend house to check on me then pretty much daily after that. My Surgeon is worried about infection mainly.
Think I'm ready, had pre-op Friday, got my final, marching orders. Walker, cane, toilet seat, ice water circulating machine, baby aspirins, blood clot preventing leg cuffs,
I'll report back, hopefully with good news

I'll report back, hopefully with good news Make sure your transport vehicle is big enough so you don't have to bend the knee going home. 2nd time I had the wife drive my truck and I slid in the back seat with it propped up.

all done, everything went very good. I'm in bed, knee on a lift pillow. So far, no pain but this will change soon as the stuff they gave me wears off. I start taking my pain meds at 6:00pm tonight.
Ice, ice baby.

I didnt do a full knee replacement but had my ACL, MCL, and PCL replaced along with both of my meniscuses repaired three weeks ago.
That ice machine is your friend. Being on the couch drives me crazy but staying off of it as much as you can really helps.
A tip for showering, have a chair in the shower and you can buy a sleeve type thing that covers your knee with a rubber seal above and below the knee, that has been super helpful.
Keep on that PT as soon as they get you on it. It can be super boring and painful and for me has been hard to make myself do it, but you have to.

pt starts Thursday. surgery pain meds have worn off . just tramadol now and tylenol. startin to hurt
