Same here. I usually stay one level behind the current latest and greatest, but mine is one level under 4K so I don't even know how far I'm behind now. That 8K looks pretty awesome but I just can't spend that much money on a TV.

My last property had a massive OLED in the theatre room. That thing was sick.

Not only has this technology left me behind, I dont want to catch up.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Not really and the difference between 4K and 8k isn’t as noticeable as 1080p to 4K

Two humble brags in the same thread, impressive wink

Seriously, nice TV. We normally buy one of the better ones available and ride that beast until it dies. We have a LED right now, so no…not bought a TV recently. I’m to the point I refer to it as a propaganda box and don’t spend near the time in front of it I once did.

Yep, I just bought a 65" LG.
I've had my last LG, for 25 years..
It has an amazing pic. UHD.
But, being an old guy, I sure wish they'd simplify, the remote some..
My biggest problem, is How do I get rid of the Old one ??
It's a 55". What do you do with old TV's ??
Won't fit, in my Green Can. LOL.... Any suggestions.??

I waited for years, milking the last of my old rear projection CRT until OLED came down in price. OLED is able to reproduce the true blacks of cathode ray tubes (old tv tech). Finally got an OLED a couple years ago on a Black Friday sale using some gift cards I had for that particular store. I’m hoping to get as many years out of this one as I did the old one at which time I probably won’t even be able to see a tv screen.

I wish the OP luck with the new set. I will NEVER have any Scamscum brand product in my home.

We don’t watch TV unless it’s for the kid, he gets about an hour per day on the weekend and 30 minutes during the week. My kid will not grow up glued to a TV or videos game. Get them outside, teach them things.

To answer your question though, we bought a 65 inch Samsung Q80 a couple years ago,

You like the old fashion way. It was good enough for you.

We don't watch much TV anymore, too many commercials. Mostly watch old movies, tv shows and sports, i.e. baseball, fishing and huntin shows.
A TV lasts us a very long time.

I would, if we had one..
Closes one is in Ranger.. And if you don't live in Ranger.
You won't believe what they charge.
