After much deliberation, I bought the Lamco. I needed one more feeder. Reviews seemed to be positive.

I just got the 600lb and love it. Plan to replace my other two feeders over the next couple of years.

Similar story here. Had a hunter leave and Klappenbach bought a 600 from him for a bargain. We called it his Mars feeder. Now 6 of our 8 feeders are Lamco.

Anyone used the 1000lber? Good friend has one, it's Nice. Just bigger version of 600. Only down side IMO is lid. It's light so if you ever forget to attach it, it will blow open

'Had a lid blow open on one of Ramball's heavy ones. Kinked it and now has to have a chain to hold it down. 'Didn't see any sign that mojados had been across the place and left it open. Latches are best.

My 74-year old FIL runs a lot of my corn for me while I'm away and I've got cell cam pics of him standing on the top of the bed rail of his pickup, so I had to make it as easy as possible for him to dump bags into the feeder. The 600 pounder seemed to be the best compromise between capacity and ease of filling. YMMV.

The Lamco feeders are real good and our preferred feeders but they have sure gone up in price. We have just 1 of the 1000 lb ones and all the other ones are the 600 lb units. Like Kry said the 1000 lb ones are a lot taller and lifting a 50 lb bag of corn over your shoulders has gotten tough for some of us especially my FIL who is in 80's. Climbing up into the truck bed with all of his stuff is not good either, that is why we prefer the 600 lb ones but to each his own preference. One nice thing about the 1000 lb one is that normally you can fill it all the way up and it last almost the whole season and you don't have to fill it up again. That will also keep your scent out of the area by not having to fill it up often. Just my 2 cents. Good luck to all of you THF hunters this season.

Latches are best. If one of our lids blows open on one of our 10 1000lber, we got bigger problems. Half out blinds will be laid down. We have I think first generation ones and I can’t move one by myself. With that said Two chain links takes two seconds to weld

We placed the feeder this morning and filled it. I hooked up battery and The Timer and hit test. I had on shorts, and that feeder peppered my legs. There’s some corn throwing power there.
