Join us this week on CARNIVORE as we hunt Spring black bears in the Navajo Nation with Kristine Holden. Kristine was a four year cheerleader for Texas State, a rabid hunter and a great young lady. While this was one of the most fun hunts of the season, I thought that it was the best story. I highly recommend that ALL young ladies who enjoy the outdoors tune into this episode. I met Kristine at one of the TTHA Extravaganzas two years ago. She and a couple of friends started the collegiate chapter for Texas Trophy Hunters at Texas State. After visiting with her for a short time, I realized that she is the perfect role model for so many young ladies who want to hunt and be in the outdoors. While she has hunted Africa on a couple of occasions, I was most impressed when I found out that her favorite hunting is hogs. Though she is only 5' 1", she is a heck of an athlete and could stay up with Calvin Redhouse, outfitter who was born and raised in those mountains. She is also a Brand Ambassador for the conservative young folks organization, TURNING POINT.
