Bird report? Anybody seeing any pick up in dove numbers around Albany, Throckmorton, Olney, Graham etc?

Thanks!

I have noticed quite a bit more around Woodson in the last week to 10 days. Scattered but seeing some large flocks of larger birds.

Hopefully cold front coming next week is strong enough to bring some down!

Sowing grain north and west of Woodson, no change for the better in bird numbers either place.

Few to no birds in Olney. Very disappointing this year!

Distance is not an issue, but the wind can make it interesting!

Not many in Colorado City. See a few flying around. Last year you couldn't keep your gun loaded.

Very few doves in Bell- Williamson Counties. Worst year I've ever seen.

Saw a decent amount of doves in my north field this morning, not a bunch but definitely more than I've seen in the past 3 weeks. Moving down ahead of the rain maybe.

Talked to my uncle in El Campo a couple days ago. Lived there his whole life. First time ever he didn’t limit out first day (hour usually). Got 4 the first day and 4 the second....lots of missing toes and feet.....

I haven’t even been out this year....

South Texas is where it’s happening. I hunted around Jim Wells county from Sep 14-24 and did well. Bird numbers are not as high as the last few years but still able to get limits. The amount of food down there for a dove to eat is mind boggling due to high milo prices this year. That kept birds spread out more but when you found a hot field it was easy pickings.
