With it getting very dry and end of summer, food sources have dwindled. Very little mast crops this year from what I have seen. Deer groups are getting competitive for what is there and at feeders it gets intense. I was photographing a buck when these two does stood up and started to box, camera was not set for fast motion pics but I still got 4 after they were almost done. These are lower resolution pics so I can post on here, but if you zoom in you can see pieces of hair suspended.

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Nice pictures. That little button buck is just minding his own business and eating away, whilst the girls fight.

Cool pictures. Hooves can obviously get pretty sharp, I have seen does take a swing and it looked like they hit the other with a flying razor.

Thanks...that is not a button buck but a year old spike. I spotted him in early June with nubs already just that small of a 1 yr old.

I'd name him jalapeno cheese sausage.
