Put corn out this past weekend to get ready for our September survey. Seemed like a really good year for antler growth on most of the target bucks. Still hoping to get pics of a few we haven't been able to find on the protein so far this summer.
I am not seeing much deer action on our new place in Graham. Last year I leased on the northwest side of town and had lots of activity from deer. This year we moved to a place with 1200 acres on the southeast side of town. After nearly 3 months of feeding, I have seen one buck on my feeder camera and the same group of 3 does. Others have had deer activity but not many bucks by any means. Hoping other food sources are keeping them away from the corn. There are a ton of pigs that are also on camera that could be keeping the deer away. Hoping to put a dent in the hog population or at least deter them from coming to the feeder during hunting times.
“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” – Henry David Thoreau
Great year so far. Multiple pics of twin Fawns and solid antler growth. Was out this past weekend at our ranch east of town and everything was still green. Acorn crop looks strong. We increased our hog panels from 50% to every feeder except 2 and that has cut down on the pressure on the feeders significantly.
We have a free range red deer herd that we need to put a hurt on this year as they are starting to get out of control, but otherwise tons of WT
I went out for the first time in a while this past weekend. Did see a good amount of deer, everything was over geown so did some mowing. Filled feeders and set up a couple of cams hope to see something good in a couple of weeks.
Out this weekend. Things were painfully hot and dry. Tanks were all still full, but we need some rain bad especially if we want to get our food plots in
Can’t help you much on Young County but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express in Graham last night. Can’t say I’m any smarter but I’ll say they had a better than usual hotel type breakfast. Steak last night at Rockin S was overpriced but young waitress had a great smile. Hope my contribution helped. Carry on gents….

At this point you should know to clearly call and ask for better advice on where to eat in Graham.

Pulled some cards yesterday and have some bucks with nice racks coming in, but they’re all looking a bit on the young side.
Cool photos showing the in/out velvet. What is your cam mounted on/how high - I like the perspective.
The camera is mounted on a T-post about 20 yards from the feeder pen. However, the T-post is on a small mound of dirt that is about 3 ft. higher than the ground the feeder is on.
