Sounds pretty slick.

Good thinking.

I bought this 1978 Kit Road Ranger off of FB Marketplace at the end of last season for $3,000 and spent another $2.500 in renovations. It took me about 9 months working on it a couple Saturdays per month. Gas, electric, and plumbing all work great. There’s no refrigerator, butI made a little slide out shelf (above the buddy heater) that will house a cooler. Can’t wait for deer season!

I use a converted cargo trailer 8 x 16 that's insulated and has electric with lights. What's so convenient is that it's a toy hauler too and is completely sealed, so no mice. Not as nice as a travel trailer but works just fine. Also, I don't think any regular travel trailer is ever sealed.

What's the interior height? This has always appealed to me.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Interior height is 6'7". Interior width is 8'. If you ever buy one, look at the V-front trailers. Mine is a 16' but with the V-front it's 17'6".

I bought a fema trailer some years back from a hunter on a lease I was on for $1,500. Everything works and it doesn’t leak. I bought a ranch in Coleman county and my sons pulled it out there and put a porch on it.
We can use it until I can get a cabin built.
I wouldn’t buy a shell of a camper because fixing it up would probably cost more than buying a decent used one IMO.
Plus the time it would take of which we don’t have much of.
Not pretty but it beats a tent
