Good for your body Digests good Good for the heart
The little instant packages are good tasting and convenient, but have too much salt A big bucket of it is cheaper anyway

They feed oats to horses. That is where healthy as a horse comes from.

I prefer the overnight oats. Like eating a healthy dessert. I like this as well. Make it in the evening with milk, a bit of protein powder and honey, put it in the fridge overnight and ready for breakfast. I don't like it slimy or runny either.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

Try a savory version. No sugar, mix in cooked sausage and onions with some cheese, top with a runny egg.

First, determine what oats have not used a dessicant spray in the field to increase yield. The ones that have been sprayed create medical issues; oftentimes a persistent pain the the lower back. I use the Red Mill oats. Second choose what type of processing you want on your oats. Each type cooks and tastes differently. One type which works well in cookies is not necessarily the best type for a meal. Rolled oats with black walnuts, fruit, and cinnamon.

I like oatmeal that is almost dry. Can’t stand it when it is wet, soggy, slimy, mush. It is a texture thing for me. This. A little crusty on the top.

After everything we've eaten since this process started it's a wonder we're not all sick or dead. You know if it is in our cereals it is in everything we eat. https://centerforintegrativehealth.com/blogs/think-twice-before-you-roundup-some-more-oats

i like the instant with flavors, really good when up early during deer season. Get some thing in the stomach and have your coffee before going out. Fix the big breakfast when returning from the hunt.

Quick oats is full of processed additives to get it to cook fast. Steel cut oats is a much better option

Oatmeal is good for you and makes you chit regularly. My grandpaw ate a bowl every morning for 91 years. That is the information I was given from that old bastard.

I like ALL the hot cereals Like them "tight", no wet showing, gotta have some "chew" I look for the REAL oats, I'll have to try the Kodiak, they are getting popular. I am allowed some "complex" carbs daily. Have learned to eat them plain, no goodies on top
