Yes. Birds are slim just like everywhere else. Best luck was on a small water hole, more like a puddle.

Hunted that area Monday and it was rather dismal. All the components for a great hunt were there, except for birds.

I hunted opening day in Haskell and me and two other guys limited out by 10:00 am. (Would have been sooner, but we had some poor shooting going on. LOL)
